Corporate Structure & History

Why our unique structure provides the best service.

IPSA was formed in 2004 by 28 independent document destruction companies and a single investor through an equity partnership with the purpose of becoming the first complete nationwide document destruction service provider. True nationwide service was non-existent without subcontracting to service providers outside of the organizations selling service contracts.

The goal was to provide the best, uniform document destruction services with the highest industry security. Accordingly, all independent members are required to maintain NAID AAA certification.

In 2006, IPSA will consist of over 93 AAA NAID certified document destruction locations whose shredding sales are in excess of $100 million annually. Projections indicate national sales revenue will reach $4 million annually by the close of 4th quarter 2006.

Most members are privately held, but there are exceptions, including Weyerhaeuser, a Fortune 100 company on NYSE.

Background

IPSA has chosen AAA NAID certified members based on their service capability and customer dedication. The offer to join IPSA was only extended after establishing that each prospective member had or was willing to commit to strenuous requirements of AAA NAID certification. Our territories allow complete coverage across the continental United States.

The resulting union established the only true national organization capable of extending AAA NAID certified service on a national level. Our member companies are committed to serving the entire United States regardless of location without relying on outside contractors to service difficult to reach locales.

Our competitive advantage is displayed in our unique ability to offer uniformity in all areas of your shred program – program design and control, billing, reporting, customer service and executive management.

Mission

Our mission is to provide the most reliable, secure, and efficient national shredding services for the North American Market through our consortium of experienced, committed, and NAID certified member companies. In achieving our mission to provide “Reasonable Care”, as defined by applicable laws and regulations, our service, delivery, and program management processes are designed to meet these requirements and the needs of our customers with dependability, ease of operation, and improved cost performance.

IPSA Mission Statement: To become the nation’s preeminent provider of national secure document destruction by delivering exceptional single point of contact customer service and consistent security standards across the United States.

Vision

Our Vision is to create the largest, most professional, and most comprehensive consortium of on-site and off-site document destruction services companies in North America. We view our role in this process as a unifying force for closing service gaps in order to meet the needs of businesses and government agencies that the document destruction industry does not currently address. Our Vision relies on the selection of highly professional, experienced, and committed document destruction service companies for exclusive membership within the IPSA consortium. Our Vision is consistent with our philosophy that providing access to secure and professionally managed document destruction services, at the best cost possible, that encompasses all locations within the United States and Canada are the keys to continued success.

The overall philosophy and strategic direction of IPSA is to distinguish itself in Document Destruction Services. We are keenly aware of the implications of HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley, Gramm Leach Bliley and other Privacy Rule requirements established by Federal Legislation. IPSA is designed to specifically service our customers with the highest level of security and consistency of standards [AAA NAID certification nationwide]

IPSA provides centralized management on a national basis. Centralized management allows us to maintain uniform standards in terms of customer service operators, billing and reporting, and document containment. We are unique on a national level in that we provide service personnel who are background investigated, continually drug screened and performance monitored by third party agencies
